1 INITIAL CONSULTATION / EVENT ASSESSMENT
* Every wedding begins with understanding the couple, their families, venue, guest profile and overall objectives. We assess based on the collective experience of 1000+ weddings. Good planning is the foundation of a successful event.

A successful event is the outcome that sits on top of careful planning.
Event Assessment: Exploring potential challenges, cultural requirements, venue limitations and supplier considerations are identified early before they become problems on the wedding day.
Runsheet Development: Our runsheets are taken very seriously and is optimised for (1) Operational practicalities , minimising foreseeable risks, and making allowances for unavoidable risks; (2) Mood flow: just like in radio and TV, we don't take for granted that the audience will keep listening, our runsheets are designed to flow smoothly without jarring elements, sudden mood changes, and anything that breaks the flow.
Production Considerations: All on-site production services need to be accounted for. This goes to room layout considerations, supplier requirements, and even how you proceed with elements. For example: did you know that the way you would plan out a first dance should change depending on whether you have a videographer or just a photographer? 

2 PRE-EVENT REVIEW
Final confirmations, timing adjustments and supplier communication ensure everyone is working from the same plan, and conduct rehearsals as necessary.

3 EVENT DIRECTION
Pre-event briefings: For standard MC service, our MC will arrive 1-2 hours early as required for venue and technical briefings, assess updates or adjustments. At the event Sy acts as the central point of leadership and directing, maintaining timing, guest engagement and supplier coordination while adapting to changing circumstances. The objective is simple: a smooth, enjoyable event where every moving part works together naturally and professionally.

4 MC and HOSTING
An MC can host confidently and with certainty when all the foundation work is complete. Sy will lead your guests with appropriate energy suitable for the event in an engaging and interactive style, using broadcast quality radio voice control and a strong but personable stage presence.

1 Presentable but not over the top
As a radio presenter, Sy is highly engaging and interactive, pleasant and presentable, never over the top. Sy's events are easy to follow for various audience types; The key is judgment and awareness. While this might mean high energy for some, on other occasions the goal may be: simple and pleasant, graceful and elegant or in some cases just chaos minimisation. Our experience is not just the ability to be able to do all these things, but to exercise judgment on what is appropriate.

2 Professional and Restrained
A wedding reception should have good energy and be enjoyable, but the highest priority is that the event must flow well. The MC is not an isolated service, but is the central hub for all things. It is the MCs responsibility to make everyone else look good. This includes saying the right things, NOT saying the wrong things, drawing attention to some things and drawing attention away from some things, not putting people on the spot, helping people who have been put in the spot, talk situations out of awkwardness, and maintaining discipline without harshness.

3 Personality without self-indulgence
A good MC commands attention but not for himself. Multiple dress changes for the bride is great, but not for an MC. We believe in authenticity and sensibleness, without unnecessary theatrics or commentary, forced emotional moments or drawing attention away from the people who matter most.

4 Proper and appropriate humour, not a comedy show
Where appropriate, we incorporate light-hearted natural moments of humour to help guests relax and engage, but not pre-prepared jokes, and certainly not jokes that can embarrass the hosts. The goal is to create warmth and connection, not to turn the ceremony into a comedy sketch.

INTENTIONAL FLOW DESIGN. The secret to good Radio, TV or cinema is flow. Every second on TV or radio is thoughtfully planned and not there by accident. Every placement, transition, musical element has been prepared intentionally to build a continuous mood flow. Conversely things that are jarring kills flow -- whether it's a sudden volume jump, a bad transition, a continuity mistake, a sudden change in energy, or any error or mistake. When something jars, illusion, mood and energy instantly breaks. Our weddings feel different because we place enormous effort to make our events flow, and why skilled proactive event direction, with knowledge across numerous disciplines make our event different.

AUDIENCE PSYCHOLOGY: Learning from radio/TV, we understand energy, timing, atmosphere and crowd engagement. We don't demand behaviour, but we create atmosphere that produces the behaviour that we want without saying a word. Instead of asking everyone to sit down, it is better to create a situation where at this point people will be seated. This is the kind of holistic orchestration that makes our weddings different.


Once you're sitting inside a Rolls Royce, your driver doesn't really need to even be that good. The trip was pleasant not because of the driver, but because of the car. In saying this, many weddings do not require Sy personally or the level of care as described here.

The reality is that Sy's approach cannot be switched on and off. The extensive planning, attention to detail and event direction that make his events feel different are simply how he works. If he identifies an issue, he cannot just say, "I won't worry about it because the couple says they want to keep it simple.", or if things can be done better he won't say, "I'm going to not do what I know is better because the couple says that don't have such high requirements".
